Gateway Christian Church is an evangelical teaching church. With a warm and friendly atmosphere, Gateway has been in the community for over 60 years. We are a congregation with varying ages and backgrounds that seeks to be an intentional disciple-making church where we meet people where they are at and help them be intentional about growing in their intimacy with Christ, the community and with those outside the community.

Our mission is to equip people to abide in Jesus and multiply His love.
Jesus called Himself "the Gate" that opens our hearts to a changed life. Once we place personal faith in Jesus, the purpose of life becomes the lifelong quest of following and serving Him. To press on with passion and purpose, followers of Christ need to be equipped with the essential truths and skills that empower them to follow Him for a lifetime.

- The Bible affirms the deity and virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His blood atonement for our sins, and His bodily resurrection.
- He ascended to Heaven, is coming again for His own, and will be returning in glory thereafter to establish His kingdom.

our pastor
Pastor John Grussi was born in Guatemala. He grew up in the Los Angeles area and came to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ while at Cal State Fullerton. After graduation he joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, now CRU, for twelve years. John has been the pastor of Gateway Christian Church since 2002. He met his wife Karen while they both worked at CRU in New Mexico. They have been married over thirty years and have two grown children.
Pastor John’s passion is meeting people where they are at in their spiritual journey, listening to their stories and helping them discover the transforming power of the love of Jesus Christ.
